ロサンゼルス、ニューヨーク、メルボルンなど世界の音楽都市を巡り、グローバルな視点で作品を発表してきたDJ／プロデューサー・mfp（Masaki Konagai）による、シーズナルミックスシリーズ「Niseko Vibes」。

拠点を北海道・ニセコに移したmfpが、ジャンルや時代を超えて選び抜いた楽曲を通じて、豊かな自然の移ろいや感覚の変化を「音楽の色」で感じることができるラジオプログラムをスタート！

“Niseko Vibes” is a seasonal mix series by DJ/producer mfp (Masaki Konagai), who has created and shared music from a global perspective while traveling through major music cities such as Los Angeles, New York, and Melbourne.

Now based in Niseko, Hokkaido, mfp launches a new radio program that expresses the rich transitions of nature and subtle shifts in sensation—through carefully selected music that transcends genre and era, delivered as colors of sound.

北海道でも屈指の豪雪地帯・ニセコ。この地は、本州と比べて圧倒的に“季節の濃さ”を感じられる場所です。真っ白な銀世界に、ある日突然顔を出す小さな新芽たち。鳥や虫たちは慌ただしく目を覚まし、春がそっと動き始める。と思えば、瞬く間にあたりは深い緑に包まれ、心地よい日差しと爽やかな風が夏を運んできます。祭りも多く、短くも賑やかな季節です。そして、お盆を過ぎる頃には空気が一気にひんやりし始め、信じられないほど色彩豊かな自然の表情が広がる秋へ。その豊穣を味わいながらも、やがて訪れる長く静かな冬をどこか陰りをもって感じ取る季節。やがて、世界中から人が集まる理由でもある極上の雪がすべてを覆い、自然界がいったん眠りにつく一方で、街は人の手によって活気を帯びてゆきます。この目まぐるしく変化するニセコの四季を、「音の色」で感じることができたなら。そんな思いから始まった「Niseko Vibes」シリーズは、今年で8年目を迎えます。

ジャンルや時代に縛られず、あえて無秩序に混ぜ込まれた楽曲たち。それでも、何故か説得力を持ち、深く心に残るのは、音楽そのものが持つ温もり—“Heartwarming”—が選曲の軸となっているからです。コーヒーを飲みながらの午後に、どこかへ向かう車のなかで、あるいはただぼんやりと窓の外を眺める時間に。「Niseko Vibes」が、あなたの日常に豊かな彩りを添えますように。

Niseko is one of the snowiest regions in all of Hokkaido—a place where the seasons feel strikingly intense compared to mainland Japan. One day the land lies in a pure white silence, and the next, tiny green buds begin to push through. Birds and insects awaken in haste as spring quietly stirs.In what feels like a blink, deep greenery takes over, bringing with it warm sunlight and the refreshing breeze of summer. The season is brief but vibrant, with local festivals bringing color and energy.After mid-August, the air rapidly cools, and the landscape transforms into the dazzling palette of autumn. It’s a time to savor the richness of nature while also sensing the quiet approach of the long, still winter.Eventually, the renowned powder snow draws people from around the world, blanketing everything as nature drifts into slumber—while the town itself comes alive once again with human activity.What if we could feel Niseko’s ever-changing seasons through sound? DJ／Producer。ロサンゼルス、ニューヨーク、トロント、メルボルンなど、世界の音楽都市を渡り歩きながら、各地でBeat LiveやDJを行ってきた“ビート親善大使”。Gilles Peterson主宰の〈Brownswood Recordings〉や〈Wax Poetics Records〉のコンピレーションへの参加をはじめ、オーストラリアのネオソウル・バンド Hiatus Kaiyoteのリミックスなど、国境を越えて作品を発表してきた。国内では〈OilWorks〉〈DayTripper Records〉〈Wonderful Noise Productions〉など、先鋭的なレーベルからのリリースを重ね、2021年にはロンドンの〈R2 Records〉よりソロアルバム『Natural Law』を発表。さらに同年、アメリカ人ラッパー Stan Smithとのコラボアルバム『Busy Work』を〈Inner Tribe Records〉（豪）よりリリースした。

現在は北海道に拠点を移し、オーガニックストア「Pyram Organics & Plants」をオープン。音楽とアートを通じて、自然との調和とクオリティ・オブ・ライフの向上を目指す活動を続けている。


A Beat Ambassador, mfp has lived in renowned music hubs including Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, and Melbourne, where he has performed both live beat sets and DJ engagements. His work has been featured in compilations released by Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings and Wax Poetics Records, and he has also produced a remix for the Australian neo-soul band Hiatus Kaiyote.

In Japan, his releases include projects with labels such as OilWorks, DayTripper Records, and Wonderful Noise Productions. In 2021, he released his solo album Natural Law through London-based R2 Records, followed by a collaborative album with American rapper Stan Smith entitled Busy Work, released on Australia’s Inner Tribe Records.

Now based in Hokkaido, he founded the organic lifestyle store “Pyram Organics & Plants.” Alongside his musical career, he is committed to fostering harmony with nature and enhancing quality of life through music and the arts.
