5月13日(水曜日21：00~)のSunEye Radioのゲストは、80年代初期にリリースされた「夢飛行」、「Nirvana」、「月姫」などで海外からも評価が高いシンセの歌姫として知られる山口美央子さんです。YMOに影響され、松武秀樹さんと長年コラボレーションをしてきた彼女のドリーミーでありながらもダンサブルなサウンドは、シティポップ、テクノポップ、ディスコ、フュージョン、AOR、レゲエを融合させ、特に「月姫」はジャパニーズ・アンビエント・ポップスの傑作として再評価されている。のちに作曲家活動に専念するようになった彼女は、今井美樹、郷ひろみ、斉藤由貴などのトップ・アーティストに楽曲を提供。現在は松武秀樹さんと活動を再開し、「FLOMA」や「トキサカシマ」などの新作をリリースしながら、MIDIオルゴールCANADEONを使ったセルフ・カバー・プロジェクトにも参加している。

Our next guest on SunEye Radio for May 13th (Wednesday, 9PM Japan time) is synth diva, Mioko Yamaguchi, who is known for her trilogy of albums, Yume Hiko, Nirvana, and Tsukihime(Moonlight Princess) which were released in the early 80s. Being heavily influenced by YMO, she collaborated with synth programmer Matsutake Hideki on her records which incorporated elements from City Pop, Techno Pop, disco, fusion, AOR, and reggae. Her album Tsukihime has recently received worldwide recognition as a Japanese ambient pop masterpiece. After her solo career she focused on composing songs for top J-Pop artists such a Miki Imai, Hiromi Go, and Yuki Saito. She recently started working with Hideki Matsutake again and released new material on her solo albums FLOMA and Tokisakashima, as well as taking part in a project using the MIDI music box CANADEON to recreate her own songs

SunEye Radio’s guest for March 11(From 9PM Japan Time) is Taeko Ohnuki! Being one of the most well respected singer-songwriters of Japan, Taeko Ohnuki formed the legendary band Sugar Babe along with Tatsuro Yamashita in 1973. In 1976 she made her solo debut with the album Grey Skies and gained attention for her crystal clear voice and sophisticated sense of melodies. Her second album Sunshower was released in 1977 which combined soul, AOR, jazz, fusion and pops, and helped City Pop to become famous around the world. She has also composed music for numerous films and received the Best Music Award at the Japan Academy Awards for the film Tokyo Biyori. In this rare interview she talks about how she became a singer, the formation of Sugar Babe, the making of Sunshower and other albums, her love of African wildlife and French film.
