東京に新たに誕生した、駅と街が一体となる国内最大級の複合エリア「TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY」。その全域を音楽とアートの体験空間へと変貌させる、Sónarをコラボレーターに迎えた新しい都市型フェスティバル「NU Festival」が、6月26日(金)・27日(土)・28日(日)の3日間にわたり開催が決定。
TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY Convention Center内の「LINKPILLAR Hall」に展開される、LIVE & DJのメイン会場「NU Live」に、dublab.jpがプロデュースする特設リスニングルームが出現する。
この空間には、Oshima Prosが提供する高品質なカーペットが敷き詰められ、オーディオテクニカのオウンドメディア『Always Listening』、サウンド・デザイン領域で活躍する『WHITELIGHT』、そしてdublab.jpのディレクターが共同開発したユニークなサウンドシステム「OTOJU」を導入。極上のサラウンド音響空間のなかに寝そべり、心身のストレスを解放して「音を聴くこと」に深くフォーカスできる没入体験を提供します。
6⽉27⽇（⼟）は、Keigo TatsumiとShokaによるライブパフォーマンス、Akie、Chloé Juliette、DJ Emerald、原雅明によるディープなサウンドの選曲が体験できる。さらに6⽉28⽇（⽇）には、日本を代表するジャズ・ピアニスト、故・菊地雅章が遺した唯一無二のエレクトロニック・ミュージック『六大=地水火風空識』の特別なリスニングセッションを展開、リイシューに貢献した原雅明によるトークも実施。ラストはShhhhh、Nick Luscombeが、六大からインスパイアされた選曲で、その世界を拡張させる。

“TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY,” one of Japan’s largest mixed-use developments where the station and city integrate seamlessly, has officially launched in Tokyo. Transforming the entire area into an immersive space for music and art, the new urban festival “NU Festival”—held in collaboration with Sónar—will take place over three days on June 26 (Fri), 27 (Sat), and 28 (Sun).
At “NU Live,” the festival’s main LIVE & DJ venue located within the LINKPILLAR Hall at TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY Convention Center, a special listening room produced by dublab.jp will make its debut.
The space will feature high-quality carpeting provided by Oshima Pros and will be equipped with “OTOJU,” a unique sound system co-developed by Audio-Technica’s owned media Always Listening, sound design experts WHITELIGHT, and the directors of dublab.jp. This setup offers an immersive experience where visitors can lie down within an exquisite surround-sound environment, release physical and mental stress, and focus deeply on the act of listening.
On Saturday, June 27, attendees can experience live performances by Keigo Tatsumi and Shoka, alongside deep selections from Akie, Chloé Juliette, DJ Emerald, and Masaaki Hara. On Sunday, June 28, a special listening session will be held for Rokudai (Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Space, Consciousness)—the singular electronic masterpiece left behind by the late Masabumi Kikuchi, one of Japan’s most renowned jazz pianists. The session will also include a talk by Masaaki Hara, who contributed to the work’s reissue. To conclude the event, Shhhhh and Nick Luscombe will expand upon this world with selections inspired by Rokudai.
